Training for Everest

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Active Red will be teaming up with Bobby Bajram to help him achieve his goal of climbing to the peak of Mount Everest in order to raise disability awareness and to raise money to put together a $100 Million trust fund to help those living with a disability and related support groups.

Who is Bobby Bajram?

Bobby Bajram is the youngest person to ever be diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Australia. At the age of 13 he was legally blind and in a wheelchair. After spending 5 years blind his sight miraculously returned but he spent a further 9 years confined to a wheelchair before his mobility returned. Despite the hardships of living with MS, now 45, Bobby is a passionate, devoted man who cares for people and wants to challenge people’s minds to the possibilities available to those who are living with disabilities.

Bobby has set himself the task of reaching the peak of Mt Everest to show that MS does not rule his life and also to raise disability awareness and encourage those with disabilities to take action in order to improve themselves.

His main goal in all of this however is to put together a $100 million trust fund for people with disabilities and various support groups to give them the assistance and care they may need.

Bobby is an amazing individual and has already accomplished so much in his life. If staying motivated through being completely blind and wheelchair bound early in his life wasn’t enough, he also has had much success in business, motivational speaking and in producing and hosting his own hit TV show – Behind Closed Doors. A TV show that brings attention to the many aspects of the lives of those living with a disability.

Bobby has a great attitude, huge personality and in my opinion, is a complete lunatic, but he definitely has the spirit to reach the top of the world and it is with great pleasure that Active Red is on board to help give him the physical strength required for such a task.

His climb is set for May 2013 and over the following year we’ll be updating this blog with information on his training progress, publicity events and other cool stuff.

Please get behind this huge challenge and show your support by helping raise awareness of what Bobby is doing and getting the word out there!
